A time for birth, a time for death

New Year's Day and a bittersweet one it was. One of my close friends passed away on Hogmanay and I didn't really feel like celebrating. However, as well as some cousins visiting from Lancashire for the New Year, the family were also playing host to another of our cousins who was visiting from Canada. So lots of family catch-ups going on.
The day allowed some time for a late afternoon wander along the canal and I managed to catch the last few moments of the sunset before heading out to friends for New Year's Day dinner.
Oh, and I rejoined Blipfoto after an absence of a year or more!
