Breaking the Ice

A crisp, frosty and very icy morning again. The moat was mainly iced over with just a few pools of thawed water. I watched this family of swans, and took a short video as the
Male led the way by sweeping his neck forward to clear the ice. The female followed and behind them, their two cygnets. Now fully grown, but without full adult plumage yet.

Enjoyed a lovely team lunch, our post Christmas celebration, such a shame that the organiser couldn't attend due to a funeral. I think another lunch is being organised so that we can aim for the whole team!
