The accidental finding

Sunset over Rodborough hill

....As long as I gaze on Rodborough sunset....

Oh, that reminds me, I am supposed to be learning a 'party piece' for Saturday! No, not a sangwich or a Swiss roll, but a 'turn' to perform. Maybe I'll just disappear...

I had a lazy start to the day and then, inspired by a soak in the bath and my watching of 'The Minimalists' on Netflix last night, I started to get together a few things for the charity shops. I already had a large basketful.of clothing, but now have two bin bags and two carrier bags as well. Books, puzzles, shoes, cushions.... I wished Steve would come home so I could load up the car straight away, but he was out enjoying the sunshine.

I walked down to school to meet Lea Anne for the first climb of the year. I wasn't spectacular, but I was there!

On the way downtown, as well as the sunset, I saw rough sleepers preparing to bed down for the night. It is -3C tonight. People are going to die of cold this winter in the UK, which is one of the world's richer countries. My building society, the Nationwide, is supporting Shelter, the charity for homeless people, this year. (Note to self: find out how to support without texting. Text- based giving doesn't really work for me....)
