White-breasted Nuthatch

I had a heck of a time identifying this little guy.  It's not quite the best angle to see things such as wing markings, etc.  I got up to Madera Canyon late in the day. I needed to return a faulty bird feeder and had to get there before they closed at 4 pm.  It got dark and cold quickly after that so I didn't have much shooting time left (before my fingers froze).  It was actually the first day in about a week that we had more than a passing glimpse of the sun. It turned out to be a lovely, relaxing day.
