Sunshine on the hyacinths

What beautiful sunny weather we've had for the start of the year.

As for this lot they're about to flop but they provided a good splash of colour, though it has to be said not much scent, over the holidays. I'd love to say I grew them and have tried for many years to do so but my efforts always seem to have them blooming by the end of November or the end of January. I bought these which is probably why they don't smell so hyacinth-y. I expect the poor things are forced unmercifully.
