This simply means we pay our mortgage -millstone- off next week.
Tis a good feeling, we are doing it three years early, so it could be said that we have followed in my Mum and Dad's footsteps.....they took out an 18 year mortgage in the early 1950's and paid it off in 9 years. They worked very hard, Dad a farm labourer and bee keeper -selling honey all over the country- and Mum a local seamstress and all round worker.
I have a lot to live up to, in the grand scale of things I reckon we aren't doing too badly.
