Welshtown landscape
Marie and I traveled down through the Maniototo into central Otago today for a BIG day trip. I have to say for Summer it was very cold and so much for Global Warming as we have had warmer days in Winter, on average today we were about 15-20 deg C colder than normal for this time of year. We had lunch in Alexandra and it was busy with traffic heading in different directions, shot a couple of images of the old bridge and then headed toward home via Cromwell.Bought a big bag of Cherries and then stopped up the road in Bendigo, made up of a couple of smaller gold mining towns now all that is left are the skeletal remains of a few old carts and these old buildings. This is the view from Welshtown looking out over the Central Otago Landscape.
