butterflies and fleas
...if anyone has spent a large part of the day stuck in a traffic queue then you have our commiserations as it took us from 10.30am until 8pm to drive from Swanage to Knutsford! Consequently, what was always going to be a difficult couple of days, timewise, has suddenly become even more so. I promise to catch up on commenting as soon as possible...
As hoped, a quick stop while still in Purbeck, yielded a willing Small Tortoiseshell Aglais urticae. The flower it is feeding from is Common Fleabane Pulicaria dysenterica, which was once burned in the house to rid it of fleas.
Tomorrow, we have a big wedding shoot followed by a long drive home, but hopefully not as long as the drive here...
