Hill Top Ramblings

Grand day out

One of the (few) good things about winter can be the still, clear days.
Rob took me to Gait Barrows and I had a walk to Haweswater which was looking deep and still with the low sunlight.
Briefly back home to find that the postman had brought our British Columbia guide book! I am looking forward to getting into that.
Then we set off on a fact finding expedition to Hest Bank and Heysham to visit some good bird identification spots for a training course. We got right up to the power station- I tried not to breathe too much!
Then on to Whalley for Rob's appointment and finally met up with Maria for a Indian meal and a catch up. She has had to give away her little dog because it bit one of her grandchildren! She is looking for a suitable replacement. Finally home, tired but stimulated!
