Lights in the sky over Loch Etive
I will come back and write this journal entry more fully later, as the broadband connection is intermittent and I want to get the picture uploaded today.
The rain finally cleared today after teatime, and we went for a walk early in the evening. Helena's mum lives right beside the shoreline on Loch Etive, near Oban in Argyll, and she grew up here for many years with her brothers and sisters in the lands where the Clan MacIntyre have traditionally lived.
We walked on the road beside the shore for about half a mile and passed this little island. Helena used to swim out to Goosey island, as they called it, on a raft they had found and played there.
Today the sky was offering even more colours to those provided by the land and sea. I loved the shafts of sun rays and the strange cloud of rainbow colours. I was amazed and gasping at the way the light was playing. It is going to be heavenly.
