Cactus

004 — Light and Shadow

Todays assignment from the book "Vision 365: Mastering the Everyday Practice of Seeing": photograph light and shadow.


Using the table lamp on my desk (huzzah for extendable and highly positional arms) I took some shots of plastic Christmas pine cones and my office desk cactus.


The ultra-pod ii came in handy in stabilising the camera with a 60mm macro lens on. Shot with 2 second delay to allow camera to settle. Liked the quality of light and the subject more with the cactus, so here is day 4.
