Firestarter
I love chillies. (Pictured here from Earthy). Chillies in everything.
Chillies in pasta. Chillies in curry. Chillies in soup. Chillies in cheese on toast. Chillies in chocolate. I am a pretty sure there is not a single thing that cannot be improved without the fiery goodness of chilli. I am a chilli fanatic.
My favourite chilli recipe:
Chipotle Chilli Popcorn
-Get some dried smoked chipotle chillies. No other kind will do. Toast them slightly and then bash them up in a pestle and mortar to make a powder.
- Heat a pan with oil. Add popcorn kernels. Chuck in the bashed up chillies. Add a good knob of butter and sea salt. Cover with lid.
- Shake the pan about so the melted butter and chillies mix in with the kernels.
- Wait till the corn is popped.
- Chuck in a bowl and sprinkle some sea-salt and some chilli-powder from the cupboard.
The best popcorn you will ever eat. Period.
