Penicuik House

We visited friends who live in Penicuik today and after lunch and a hilarious game of Doggie Doos (belonging to their 7 year old son), we went for a walk through the Penicuik Estate. The house was built in the 18th century and burned down in 1899. I hadn't seen Penicuik House for many years and the last time I saw it, it was looking very ruinous. However, it has been 'done up' so it is possible to get an idea of what it looked like when it was lived in.
