Ski Day!

Mum is feeling a bit better but decided to take today as a total jet-lag and relax day just to make sure! Yay!

Mum and I have recently become skiing fans! A couple of weeks ago we discovered that we could watch skiing on Eurosport so Mum has paid an annual fee for access and now we can watch lots of it!

Today we watched both the men's and women's Cross-country Tour de Ski from Oberstdorf in Germany. There are 7 stages of the Tour de Ski - they started in Switzerland on the 31st, they're in Germany today and tomorrow and they go on to Italy later in the week. We didn't see the Swiss part but we hope to see the rest, ending on Sunday.

Today were the skiathalon races - 10k for the women and 20k for the men. The first half is classic cross country and the second half is freestyle/skating, with a very quick change of skis and poles as they transition.

We are learning a lot! Our friends in Sweden are watching it at the same time and teaching us lots about it. I snooze quite a bit, but I'm just happy that Mum is sitting here next to me and not running errands or working at her desk. Winter Chillax time! And of course accompanied by Hot Chocolate and almond filled ginger cookies. Yummy!
