After recovering for most of the late morning and early afternoon, I headed to my friend's house for a family dinner of sukiyaki and osechi. Even after all these years, I was even surprised for myself that this was the first time. It was a privilege to be invited to a family dinner for one of the most special days in Japan, and boy, I ate a lot. Thank you.
