Paris, mon ami

the first whole day in Paris, and my birthday as well. 
Went and got us a nice breakfast and strolled towards Notre Dame and on to the Louvre where there were thousands in line to get in. 
So on we went to Place de la Concorde and Champs-Elysees, where there was a cute Christmas Market with a lot of booth with souvenirs, gloves, hats, playthings and of course a lot of candy. Some merry-go-rounds as well, for the kids. 
Further on the huge flagships-stores began and we got some shopping done. Arc de Triomph was a must see, of course, and then on to the Eiffel Tower, where we decided we had to get to the top.
There was of course a huge line, turns out France is in a security frenzy, because the first huge line was only for the security check. 
But the view, though a bit foggy, was great.
