Waiting for a call

Took some time out late in the afternoon today and went to Little Cawthorpe and Muckton. Blip photo was really difficult to choose,  Saw a gorilla in a garden right outside the pub, and no I hadn't been drinking, but I wonder how many people who had did a double take. A chimp in another garden, a derelict farmhouse that must have been a wonderfully cosy family home, and the thing e went for the Ford which the "Splash" pub is named after. 

Drove out of the village and into Muckton, there we found a grave yard  that was entered by a beautiful covered gateway., Steps up into the grounds but no Church!  Quintessentially English finds were an in build VR postbox and  the little used phone box pictures above.  We also were startled by the live peacocks who came to see what we were up to.  

My photo companion and I have vowed to go back in the summer to look at taking some more colourful shots when the light is better.   Really enjoyed getting out and about. and have vowed to do a little more of it.
