Ball Of Fluff
The young of many birds may be adoringly described as balls of fluff but few remain looking as such into adulthood. This is one of them - a little grebe (aka dabchick) - Tachybaptus ruficollis
(Another is the ball-on-a-stick long-tailed-tit).
This little grebe was at Kinghorn Loch today. I went back there because I saw a pair of goldeneyes yesterday but too dark to get a decent photo. No sign of them today.
