campervan man

The sun is setting a bit later every day

Today we banished Christmas. Tree stripped of baubles and lights, both of which are back in their boxes. The tree taken out of its stand and re-possitioned in the bottom corner of the garden. Cards removed from the glass pane they were sellotaped too. Glass pane cleaned and all residual sticky stuff removed.. All odd Christmas ornaments and strange dwarfs wrapped up and everything (except the tree) returned to the roof, as are the outside lights and the newly purchased laser light The route taken by the tree as it left the house was marked by a large number of needles that held on tightly to the carpet despite the hoovers best efforts. They could not resist hand picking however. House back to normal. Hurrah.
Isn't it strange that only a couple of weeks ago I thought the house looked beautiful with all the Christmas decorations and lights sparkling and now all I wanted to do is get rid of them as quickly as possible. I wonder what day my attitude to them changed?
Wife one has been out today and was pleased to see the transformation. She did find at least 10 needles I had missed almost immediately. I suspect they will still be appearing for weeks.
