Shining in the Darkness

Back to dim and dismal today. I spent most of it sewing. 

In the late afternoon I went into the garden to see if there were any signs of life - and there were a few.

Viburnum bodnantense has small clusters of tiny pink flowers, not exactly a showstopper - until you catch its intense perfume. It seems far too heady for winter in Roxburghshire, and all the more cheering for that.
