Viking Gripfisk

8.0C with lots of smirry showers blowing through on the wind. Wind WNW to 28 mph with gusts to 38 mph.

After lunch and luckily in a short dryish spell Maeve the Deerhound and I went for the repeat of our usual morning walking route across the road and round to the park and the harbour and back along through town.

Once Maeve was back home and settled I went for another walk. Deacon Blue (The Believers then The Hipsters) on the Clip. I went out Low Askomill to the old shipyard. From there I could really see the showers coming in over the hills beyond town and blowing across the loch. No boats out on the loch or out in the sound today. There were just a few fishing boats at the quays and Viking Gripfisk was at the old quay as was the small CalMac ferry Loch Ranza. The Isle of Arran had gone from the new quay yesterday.

On the way back I walked round the esplanade to the harbour and wandered around the old quay. I don't know whether Viking Gripfisk was loading or unloading but the tankers are there for the purpose. They are often on the new quay when she is berthed there.
