The last day of the year

and we spent it souvenir-shopping, strolling and visiting the Medieval museum at Cluny, where the famous Lady and the Unicorn is on exhibition. 

The whole city is so relaxed compared to the midnight frenzy in other cities. No loud noises, no broken bottles and crazy kids shooting fireworks at people. The only place to see fireworks is at the Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Elysees, where some 600.000 people were expected, so we kept away.
A nice couple at the bridge we were standing, gave us each a plastic glass with some champagne and wished a happy new year.
