Running with the hoops

Fabulous day - started off in the beautifulJagdish Temple - 16th century and solid with carvings - beasts at the bottom, then animals, then humans, then the Temple Dancers and up to the Gods.  Talked for a long while with the blind widow who sits in a small hole with fresh water for devotees 12 hours every day.  Her brother-in-law was there and interpreted.  Then off to the countryside, lakes with fishermen and birds, wheat fields being irrigated and brick making areas - spent some time drinking chai and chatting with 4 delightful ladies and the husband of one - all wearing the  family red shawl with blue band at the bottom of their skirts.   These boys were having great fun showing off their skills and I hopped and skipped with some girls who eventually joined in - such laughter and  by the end I felt like the Pied Piper of Hamlin.  If you have time come on the outing
