Tuesday Optical
Last day of my festive holiday. Took an early morning trip into Glasgow to pick up some repairs to Mrs R's jewellery that we ordered pre-Christmas.
Surprisingly the city was very quiet - it's still a holiday here in Scotland, so that probably accounted for the lack of numbers.
I'm not complaining though. I managed to get round a few shops including a well known camera retailer and I found a bag that caught my eye. The nice young fella that tried to sell it to me was doing great until the price was mentioned.
I'm not a tight wad, but I like value for money, and whilst the bag was ideal - lightweight and unobtrusive - the commercial requirements were too high. Way too high.
I Googled said bag (other search engines are available but frankly they're not as good) and found it on Amazon for half the price. And the company selling it is one I've used before, so purchase made.
I actually like proper shopping, but sometimes you gotta go where the best value can be obtained and more often than not these days that means online via the good old interweb.
Today's Blip features my Salt and Pepper statues that me and the Mrs bought couple years ago whilst on holiday - they are a personal gift to ourselves - long story which I'll maybe tell one day.
Maybe!
Anyhoo, time to get ready to go back to auld claes and purridge.
