Exploring the delights of Edinburgh

We are staying at the Channings hotel, a lovely boutique quiet hotel not far from the centre. Absolutely gorgeous hotel.
I had told Adam that there are three things I would like to do in Edinburgh, to see Greyfriars Bobby (Adam had never heard of the story), to see the Royal Brittania Yacht and of course to see the Castle.
We headed off this morning to find Greyfriars Bobby statue and then just spent the day explorating the nooks and crannies of the city.
The architecture is stunning, it is like stepping back in time. I have fallen in love with this quaint city and have to say that the people are so friendly.
It was really cold today and we had forgotten our hats and scarves etc at home so we bought some here. I am really pleased with our choices... Adam treated me to a lovely pink tartan Edinburgh wool scarf...love it.
We must have walked for a solid 6 hours. By the time we got back to the hotel to eat, we were so tired and full (the food was delicious) that I fell asleep at 9pm!
