Such a shame

At the first day of the ASB Classic Womens Tennis.  The best ever lineup of stars and a very frustrating afternoon.  The courts had just dried out after a heavy shower in the afternoon when the very light drizzle - just enough to wet the white paint, started and continued until the afternoons play was abandoned. Disappointing but a very enjoyable day out.  Very impressed with 19yr old Naomi Osaka (match incomplete) and will watch her progress both in the Auckland tournament and upcoming Australian Open with interest.  A retractable roof for this venue has been talked about for years - it just has to be done!
