Poplar bark

Went to the Botanic Gardens this afternoon, as it was so wet and horrible this morning we didn't get anything done outside.  The specific destination was Jenny Gillies Enchanted Garden Exhibition, in the old tea kiosk.  The costumes are spectacular, kind of wearable art, and look even better on real models than the mannequins used for the exhibition.  A great opportunity to see the fabrics in detail, though, and immaculate work.  The venue is not conducive to good photography, though, so if you want to see what I'm talking about, best to go to her website, jennygillies.com.

This mono is the bark of a large poplar in the gardens.
