Gentle Giant

Carvings of Bill, my father-in-law's handprints, on a piece of wood from a tree he helped plant in the avenue of Templar's Park as a Scout leader. The tree was no longer safe and had to be cut down, and a chunk was retrieved by Beefy and carved as a birthday gift for Floss this year. Floss and I were also married at Templar's.
I have just been to visit Bill with the girls and my Mum- he is having respite care in the nursing home near our house. He is a gentle giant- a loving Grandad and a lovely man.
