Bethablip 119...
This is my monthly track of my children as they grow to see how they change as time goes by. I take the same photo in the same place each 1st and 15th of each month along with a wee diary of what has happened and how life has progressed for each of them. Bethany on the 1st and Ewan on the 15th. It is quite remarkable and is accentuated by the 1 year ago thumbnail down in the bottom right.
I seem to have forgotten the December update of the BethaBlip so this will sort of be a bumper one.
Bethany had her end of year Ice skating show this year. I went to see the first showing of it, her mum, Granny and Grandpa C went to see the second one. She was in two songs and the finale. It was really good.
She’s still not gotten her sleeping pattern sussed yet. She can still get really anxious around bedtime although having someone sit with her or outside her room does get her to sleep eventually. It’s not ideal but hopefully after christmas we can start to get into a proper routine and work on it.
For christmas this year we all went down to London to stay with her uncle and aunt Colin and Karen. It was great fun with all the family. We got the train down and stayed a couple of days. Did the usual christmas things. Bethany got a mobile phone as her main present which she was very chuffed with. She’s been sending WhatsApp messages to her friends, relatives and us. All sorts of useless stuff.
I came home one night through the month to find her draw copying pictures from websites and comics. Totally reminded me of when I used to do the same thing. Some of them were ridiculously good for her age.
It seems the makeup horse has shot the stable. She loves using the stuff. I repeatedly tell her that she really doesn’t need any but she like the process and is getting better at making it more subtle. She got a bit makeup kit from her aunty and uncle for christmas so hopefully she’ll leave her mum’s alone which has been the subject of a couple of issues over the last couple of months.
Oh and she has been keeping her room rather tidy since we started the room inspection pocket money routine. She’ll gladly tidy it on the appropriate day for the £2 she gets for it.
