Runnymede

We took a New Year's Day walk at Runnymede to see this memorial at the spot where the Magna Carta was signed. Let's hope we see the principles of freedom, individual rights and democracy the document enshrines upheld in the coming year.

We also visited the nearby John F Kennedy Memorial befor the rain sent us scurrying to the tea rooms for a bowl of soup.
