The hike (day two)

Two adults, an almost 9 year old, a toddler, a back carrier, a dog, wellies, walking boots, wooly hats, scarves, gloves and snacks...

And we eventually got out of the house. We're lucky to have amazing walks on our doorstep, and this is one of our favourites. From our house we walked up to the top of Holcombe Hill, across the moors behind it, over another hill, then across more moors to Pilgrims' Cross. And then home again. Around 6 miles of hills, mud, ice and boggy ground, but also lots of glorious sunshine, which meant the views were outstanding.

We've just about defrosted now and I'm trying to psyche myself up for my first day back at work since before Christmas
