Day 4: helping

More busyness! I took Katie out quite early and we went for a swim together. We stopped for a play in the park on the way back. She cant reach large parts of it but she enjoys the slide if Mummy goes down with her! We went to the soft play centre and were joined by Nadine and Spencer. We headed to the caravan and gave them an early lunch before Aunty Louise picked them up to go to their house. Uncle Gareth picked us up a little later. Katie had her first ever ride in a Porsche! Louise had told her it went fast, and she asked Gareth to make it go fast. On the dual carriageway, he let it accelerate as it likes to the speedlimit - (impressive! You could feel it wanting to pull away and go off!) and she squealed with delight at the power of it!

We got to Louise's and I took all the children off to the park for a while to give them time to do some unpacking of more boxes. Amelie enjoyed lovely big snuggles in our butterfly meitai, Katie found little friends to play with, the boys charged around playing football.

When we got back to Louise's, their new trampoline had arrived so the children were desperate for us to get on with building it. However they also were desperate for food and ate more giant collecitons of food before they went and played and we set about building it. We were very impressed with ourselves, at our tribute to girl power- we managed to do the whole thing ourselves, including reshaping a leg that had been supplied slightly out of shape at one of the fixing points, and personally I fitted almost the full set of 50+ springs. I got first bounce as a reward! During the building of the trampoline, Katie became sleepy so went for a bath with Amelie and I put her to bed shortly after.

When all the small people were settled, the mummies enjoyed a very yummy curry and chatter before we went home in a taxi and put 2 sleepy children to bed.
