I've posted about this local and ancient friend before, this time he's monochrome. This is Byrhtnoth, who, with his thegns led the English against a Viking invasion. He was known for his "ofermōd" literally "over-heart" or "having too much heart" or possibly over-ambitious. He fought the invading Vikings at the Battle of Maldon and lost the battle, lost his life and lost his head. His statue stands tall at the harbour entrance. I wonder, can you have too much ofermōd?
