Another one for the chop
I went out briefly this afternoon to deliver some photographs for a Photo Club competition and walked straight into rain.
I was determined to find a Blip however, so took a picture of this poor old oak tree, chopped down like so many trees in this part of Oban for one reason or another. Sometimes it's to open up the view, sometimes to let sun into the garden, too near the house, dropping leaves on the lawn - there are a multitude of reasons.
I feel very strongly about this - maybe it would have been better to cut it to the ground and let it regrow, or maybe to plant a smaller tree in its place. I hate to see such a noble tree hacked in this way! Up the tree huggers!
