Friend

One of my best friends for the last 17 years, Katherine is a regular and ideal new year companion. Pizza and bubbles for lunch, a walk around the wilds of Salford, a cozy tea together in K's flat, then some gin drinking although we'd already progressed to tea by the time we toasted the new year. Jools Holland until eyes would no longer stay open then a long sleep, a lazy breakfast and a hot chocolate in Bolton before parting as I had to catch my train back north.
