High Five New Year

Today was a beautiful, bright Winter's Day - what a good way to start a New Year.  Mind you, after the morning Gus walk I did fall back into bed fully clothed and didn't surface again until 1330.  And I can't blame that on New Year's Eve indulgence, as we had a quiet evening at home with not a drop of ethanol.

The Christmas break has been quieter than expected as just about everyone we know has been under the weather with colds, and I have been trying to avoid acquiring any viruses.  All the planned for visitors had therefore cancelled.  We did see Arnside Simon for a cup of tea and a mince pie a couple of days ago, but otherwise I hadn't seen anyone else until today.  So it was good to meet up with S, J and M for a walk at Jack Scout at sunset (happy in the knowledge that we weren't missing Wolf House cafe which had no room for us and was depleted of cake).

Here Wifie and Little M were doing a High Five for the first sunset of 2017, while Gus kept close to his Mum.
