Happy New Year

2017 ... Day 1 ... Sunrise.

An unexpected sight greeted me this morning after I'd set off on my regular "Sunday Morning Sunrise Stroll" ... The weather forecast had promised it to be mainly cloudy, with outbreaks of rain or drizzle ... The ground was indeed damp with drizzle when I left home and the sky was totally overcast ... apart, that is, from a slither of yellow light on the horizon ... But gradually, instead of the slither of light just disappearing (which what it would normally do in these instances), the clouds around it actually broke up ... which was nice ... :o)

Then later in the morning, the clouds all bunched together again and the drizzle returned ... :o/
