I appear to be gaining new year resolutions - this new one would be to repair and reassemble any projects or bin the bits ... given that I am an engineer,  this is doomed to failure!

The inside of my cheap and cheerful watch,  the one used for swimming and bike riding which now needs a new battery. 

Displaying  a flagrant disregard for the rules we decided to forego the New Years Day bike ride as the weather was what we cyclists refer to as quite miserable.  As an alternative we went for a walk around the village in what we photographers refer to as flat light.  Hence the indoor blip :-)

We did see one couple out cycling,  the sort of cycling which involves more time cleaning the bikes than actually riding them.
