It seemed fitting to take this photo for the start of a new year. Peacock feathers are symbolic around the world. In India they are a symbol of beauty, prosperity, love, compassion and peace. In Buddhism the peacock represents purity, in Christianity a sign of immortality and Hindu they are associated with benevolence, patience, kindness and good luck. They also carry a spiritual healing energy for balance and harmony.
