Not the start to the year we had hoped / expected.

Hubby's dad was not well last night so Hubby had to stay with him. Daughter and I, half heartedly, went out as planned but came home after an hour as she is still coughing strongly.

So today everyone is tired and the cold seems to be hanging over me too now.

The steak pie remains in the fridge as no one feels like a large meal and we are snacking instead. We will attempt to be in a more celebratory mood tomorrow.
