Kinnoull Hill Tower
Happy New Year!
A lovely New Years Day walk around what is Perth's equivalent of Bradgate Park.
Kinnoull Hill tower, essentially a folly, occupies a clifftop site 728 feet above the River Tay below. Originally constructed as an observatory its design is redolent of castles along the Rhineland because the designer felt the landscape around Tay strongly resembes the Rhine’s.
This place is also dear to our hearts as Pamela's late Grandfather John, a talented painter, used this view for one of his most iconic paintings!
