Happy New Year!

15 minutes before midnight my neighbour and I walked out of town and up on a hill to watch the fireworks. A few other people had the same idea.

We lit a few fireworks ourselves while sipping champagne from small bottles (I know, I know, I know...)  in the cold, exchanging good wishes with the people we met up there in the dark.
It was fun (but very cold fun).
