HAPPY 2017!!!

From a rather cold and damp Westward Ho! on new years morning. It was drizzling as I left Barnstaple this morning about 10 am but brightened as I headed west. The roads were very quiet, after New Year celebrations. It was good to see a few people braving the weather when I got there. 

For those of you not familiar with the area The name comes from local author Charles Kingsley's  book of that name, which was set in nearby Bideford. The Island in the distance is Lundy Island, about 12 miles from the North Devon coast. Next stop USA.
