A Bit of a Worry

Happy New Year everybody!  Looking out at a very wet and grey day I noticed this fungi growing on the Black Locus Tree in our garden. This is a bad sign and maybe this old tree is reaching the end of its life. Not much I can do at the moment as we have a houseful. I will look at it later in the week.
