New Years Eve

Today we have had a quieter day exploring local towns to find somewhere to celebrate. However, it seems here in Mallorca they celebrate differently by closing all shops, bars and restaurants, leaving the streets deserted! We ended up having a walk along the beach and testing the sea temperature, before running away from the cold waves! We decided to get a bus into the main city of palma as we thought that surely would be busy. We were wrong and ended up heading back to our apartment after an hour of searching. In the end we went to a local restaurant we visited a few nights ago. Its not a very special restaurant, but the food is very good and the staff are very friendly! We had some very nice food with cocktails and headed back to our accommodation to watch tv and we are now waiting up to watch the London fireworks on BBC. My blip today shows the beach we walked along with the sun shining brightly!
