My brain

And that my friends is what the inside of my brain looks like.

Well I was walking my friend's dog last night (at least attempting to) and my feet found a puddle of water and my head found the wall. This resulted in a late night trip to the hospital. Three hours and a CT scan later, I left with a free hair cut, five stitches, and a concussion.

Things I learned from visiting the hospital in China:
1. Before you see the doctor, you pay. Before you get a CT scan, you pay, Before you get an injection, you pay. Basically it's a pay as you go. But seeing as how I paid less than $70 for everything without insurance, I am not going to complain.
2. If you don't speak Chinese, it's best to bring someone who does. People may speak English, but often times things do get lost in translation and that's not a risk you want to take when your head is bleeding.
3. If you have to go to the hospital, a good time is after 11:00 on a Wednesday night. Surprisingly it's pretty quiet that time of night.
