The Snow Dragon

We went to the Stables Theatre near Milton Keynes today to see The Snow Dragon. It's the story of a young goat who goes out to collect berries to leave out for the Snow Dragon who brings toys on New Year's Eve. He meets the hedgehog who's collecting mushrooms for the Snow Unicorn and the piglet who's collecting acorns for the Snow Goblin. It was really lovely with lots of singing and dancing and joining in from the audience. There were only three cast members playing all the parts and it was simple and charming.
Unfortunately the Little Misses ended up punching each other just as the Snow Dragon finally made its magical appearance. I didn't really get to the bottom of why but sadly it meant the panto ended on a slightly sour note!!!
All the other children were enjoying it with wide eyed wonder and my two....... Sometimes I despair of them!!!
