Lawn mowing season

The Ashbury croquet lawns mown for the first time this season. The weather of late has not been conducive for cutting of grass, in fact I had visions of both myself and the mower sinking out of site on the saturated lawns. The grass was wet and thick in place and the mower had trouble gripping, however after an hour and a half the lower lawn was finished and so the open day can happen, weather permitting though. It was so peaceful down there, not with the mower going of course, but when I was finished and the mower was washed and put away. I sat and listened to bellbirds and other birdlife calling as the sun was starting settle in the west and admiring the lawn. Satisfaction
