Boxing Day in Sheffield
Monday
Today, Janet and John were spending the day with John's family, Bernard and Edna were having a quiet day, with Bernard visiting Edna at the care home, while we travelled across the Pennines to spend the day with my brother and sister-in-law, Peter and Judy, and Peter's son, Ian. After a salad lunch, we went for a walk in nearby Whirlow. At dinner in the evening, the crackers were somewhat different in that they had come from the RSPB and each contained a little card containing a bird song for people to identify, however they did also contain the usual corny jokes to groan at....
"What do you do for a sick bird .... give him a tweetment"!!
