Neighbors

H and I walked around the bay to our neighbor’s this afternoon for some New Year cheer and chat.  This is a person we’ve known since we built our places 25 years ago..we have many differences of opinion about all kinds of issues with him, environmental, political etc… but in the end, he is a really good neighbor and would do anything to help that he could, I have no doubt.  This is his helicopter- takes him 10 minutes to get here from Vancouver. ( a clue to how different our styles are!)    The little dock across the way is our place.. it’s a good 20+ minute walk—leaving here at 4:20.  A pretty nice day -windy but no rain.  

Progress!!—-with son’s help. I managed to get lightroom to work n the new computer  (hurray —the previews weren’t transferred properly but now they are! ). HOWEVER, now I can’t get the photos off the camera sd card to go there as I don’t have the camera  cable with me (and there’s no slot in the new computer…sigh.)  once I can connect them I can do it wirelessly.  ( I did bring an old sd card reader but it doesn’t work.)    Oh well,  a few steps closer every day!   Can’t expect miracles.  (I’m using the old one right now)


D-I-L is making dinner. Maple is happily spread out in front of the fire.  NO complaints!
